from what it seems Jira is either not recognizing the used MySQL version correctly or there is a mismatch in configuration like
Did you upgrade Jira and or the MySQL version lately or did this come out of the blue?At least I assume the error pops up after a restart, is that correct?Could you please show an anonymized excerpt of your dbconfig.xml?
