User Count in Questions for Confluence

Hi,

We just added the Questions for Confluence cloud add-on.

My question is this: is it possible to remove registered users from accessing Questions for Confluence while maintaining their access to our other Confluence Spaces? I know that we could alter their permissions to restrict access, but wouldn't we still be charged the $2.50 per user rate?

No. The app licence system simply needs a licence for the app to be at the same level or higher than the main application level.

So, to be clear, when a user is added to our main Confluence space, they are automatically added to our Questions for Confluence Space?

Not necessarily, it depends on what your permissions are.

Anyone who logs in is a member of one or more groups. If your Questions space names a user or, more importantly, a group, to have access, then yes, they may get it "automatically".

For example, it's not uncommon to have a group called "confluence users". That group has the global permission "can use Confluence". The more open spaces will often have "can use this space: group: confluence users". So when you add someone who can get into Confluence, they automatically get access to those spaces, because they're in "confluence users"
