How to use automation to check for a component name in a summary and add it into the component field

Question

I am trying to set up an automation that recognizes a component name in the summary of a case and then adds that data into the component field of that case.

I can get the first bit done as follows.

The next stage is to edit the issue component field. But how do I carry through the data from the previous step? Is it even possible or has anyone got another suggestion as to how to do this?

This works on a single component name

Summary ~ "Component Name"

Edit issue  Component  then choose the appropriate component.

Is that what you meant?

Thanks for this.  I assume I will need to set up a rule per component then?

Hello,

I would suggest using a JQL condition in your automation rule of the following type :

NameOfYourTextField ~ "Name of your component" (The text field of your issue contains your component)

If the condition is validated, you can then set the component to the concerned issue.
