how to trigger a jenkins job from a approval of jira task

I'm working for a way to kick off remote Jenkins builds from Jira. The idea is for the build to be triggered by based on project manager approval. when task got approval status then Jenkins should trigger the jobs based on project.  Please help me on this.

i have created webhook in jira and configured required plugins in jenkins.

Hello @prabha vk ,

I don't have too many details on how your workflow is configured but, generally speaking, you can try something similar:

1. Configure your workflow in a way that the task is in "waiting for approval" status and, once approved, it moves to "in progress" (or any other) status.
2. Create an automation rule that when the issue transitions from "waiting for approval" to "in progress" sends a web request (rest api call) to kick off a build on Jenkins  

You can also do the same when the issue moves to "approved" status or anything else. Depending on your configuration.
