How can 'Current Search' be displayed in 'Issues' drop-down?

Question

When I link an issue to my issue by clicking on edit, the drop down only shows the 'History search' and not the 'Current search'. This makes it difficult for my team to search for the right issue smoothly.

Screenshot below: When I search for DE-1..., the corresponding issues don't pop up in the drop-down list. Only the ones under 'History Search' are visible.

i know that „issue“ but never found a solution for it in server. 
perhaps there is one for cloud, let me check.
