Shell script for auto restart jira when crashed.

Question

Hi Team,

I need a shell script for auto restart jira server when it has down due to OutOfMemoryError

Or any other suggestions for auto restart the app when it got crashed down, no matter what the reason is.

Please help me out of this .

Yes I agree with you Dave, but we cannot do this all the time increasing the memory as we are getting more and more tickets day by day.

So we want to get a notification while this happened and either there must be an auto garbage collection process or we do it manually, but the main thing is to auto restart the server (what ever the cause may be) with notification to our mails.

Why wouldn't you just solve the reliability issues? If you're running out of memory, add more memory and/or adjust the heap allocation.
