How to automate assignee on Epic to value of User Picker custom field?

Hello Experts!

The workflow is: An Initiative gets moved to the bugtail status, and that automates the creation of an Epic. I want the assignee of the new Epic to = the value of the "Program Manager" custom field which is a user picker (single user) from the trigger initiative. Can anyone help? Thanks

In the same automation rule that creates the new Epic you can add an additional component that will copy field values from the parent issue into the child issue.  You'll possibly need to know the custom field ID of the Program Manager field to make that happen.
