I’m trying to migrate an instance of Jira 8.8.0 from using MySQL 5.7.31 to PostgreSQL 9.6.15, and I keep getting errors. The first time I tried this in Production, I got the error described here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/xml-backup-import-fails-with-genericentityexception-in-jira-server-440108201.html
I was forced to roll back the changes and kept Production using MySQL. I also dropped the Postgres DB that was going to be used by Production and re-created it.
After trying both of these fixes in Staging, I was able to migrate them in Staging with no issues. However, I tried this again in Production, and I got the error in the attached image. So, I turned off Production Jira, tried the second fix with the jar file, and trying re-importing. This time, I received a 503 error in the middle of the restoration process.
Can someone please explain why this is happening?
