Could not install JIRA

Question

HI,

I am new to JIRA. Trying to learn on my own. I am trying to set up JIRA on my windows10 machine. But getting the following error. Tried many ways to set up the JRE path.

Using CATALINA_BASE: "D:\JIRASoftware"
Using CATALINA_HOME: "D:\JIRASoftware"
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: "D:\JIRASoftware	emp"
Using JRE_HOME: "C:\Progra~2\Java\jre1.8.0_261"
Using CLASSPATH: "D:\JIRASoftware\bin\bootstrap.jar;D:\JIRASoftware\bin	omcat-juli.jar"

If you are installing under Windows,  it is highly suggested that you use the installer with the bundle JVM:

For example: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/downloads/binary/atlassian-jira-software-8.5.8-x64.exe

The JVM version you are using is not compatible with JIRA. Use the required version. You can find the logs in /logs/atlassian-jira.log You can mange the jvm setting in setenv.sh file locate /bin/ Uninstall current java version and install Java 1.8 or 11 then install Jira. Update your Java version to the latest one.
