"Was this helpful" message

Greetings community!

Who can describe why the "Was this helpful?" message now pops up for every community question that has an answer/response post?  This displays regardless of whether or not the post is marked as an accepted answer.  It does not display before there are any responses.

There already seems to be mechanisms in place to determine if a post/response was helpful, with voting and likes.

First of all, thank you for asking this question. This is definately relevant to know our customer sentiment about our approaches in the Community.

So, going straight to the point: The "Was this helpful?" pop-up is intended to create a feedback channel between the community and the Atlassian team, so we can improve the content and experience in the Community.

Comparing with other mechanisms (Votes, likes, etc), the feedback in that pop-up is sent only to the Atlassian Community team.

Besides that, it provides the Community folks with a textbox where you can explain to us why that answer was not helpful, something that cannot be expressed with likes or votes and, although you could express it with comments, they might not reach us (The Atlassian team) or don't have the proper attention from the responsible team due to the huge number of questions and content we have in Community.
