Can I create a status dropdown in Jira Software?

Jira Cloud currently displays a dropdown for issue status: 

Can Jira Software be configured to display issue status the same way? We currently have to update the status using the workflow drop down but would prefer to display workflow as illustrated above.

Hi @Alicia C_ ,

In your first image you are also updating the status using the workflow but Cloud design is pretty different than Server, there is no workaround to have this behavior in Server
