Hi, my repo size recently exceeded 2 GB, and I thought that upgrading to the standard plan which gives 5 GB would let me continue to work, but I still cannot push. Shouldn't the paid plan give more storage?

The Standard billing plan allows you to have 5 GB of LFS (in total, for all repos owned by the workspace on the Standard plan).
These 5 GB concern LFS storage only and not the size of the Git repo.

The size limit of each Git repository (excluding any LFS files) remains at 2 GB for all billing plans.
In case you decide to use Git LFS, and you need more than 1 GB of LFS that the Free plan gives, and you don't need more than 5 users or more Pipelines minutes, you can keep the Free plan and purchase only Git LFS space, for $10 per 100 GB of Git LFS.
You can do that by going to your workspace's Settings > Plan details > Upgrade plan > in the new page that opens, select Add Overage.
