How to show Epic status in confluence.

Question

Hi all

Recently I`ve set up confluence page and I`m linking issues and epics to it just to track the progress and all changes that were made. I`ve discovered that when I link the page I can see the status of the issues but I don`t see the epic status.

Is there anything I can do in the Jira configuration or in the Confluence to change it? I would like to see status if linked Epics as they can be also in different statuses and we can have more than one linked to one page.

Hello @[deleted]! As I understand, you need to display the current status of your Jira Epics within the Jira Links “button” at the top of the page.

Currently, there is no setting for this to show there Confluence Side. Here is an excerpt from our documentation about the Jira Links button:

Move between Jira and Confluence

Whenever you add a link to Jira issues in Confluence, or link to a Confluence page from your Jira application, the Jira Links button appears at the top of the Confluence page. This means you can quickly jump from Confluence to Jira and vice versa, speeding up your workflow.

The number on the Jira Links button indicates the total number of issues, epics, and sprints connected to that page, regardless of whether you have permission to view them. The dropdown, however, will only show details of issues, epics, and sprints that you have Jira permissions to view.

The button doesn't detect links from issues displayed in the Jira Issues macro in table format.

You should, however, be able to see the status of your Epics within the page itself.

They will show up like this:

New Editor – Fabric

Legacy Editor – tinyMCE
