How Do You Pass Credentials from Jenkins

Question

I have not been able to figure out how to pass credentials from Jenkins to Bitbucket to check out a repository for Jenkins to build.

Obviously, I do not want to send plain text across the wire.

This was easy for Github, using a Personal Access Token and configuring Jenkins to use that token.

Not so straight forward with Bitbucket.

You haven't said what this "it" is - "connect to something" is usually very easy in Bitbucket, but without knowing what you're talking about, I can't do anything other than point you at generics.

What, exactly are you trying to get Bitbucket to do?

You asked a very generic question - yes, about Jenkins Authorisation from Bitbucket, but there's no information in your question about how you might be doing that, such as which app you might be using to handle the connection (if any), or if you're writing your own thing to do it.

The page I've linked to is the starting point for understanding (and hence coding for) a connection to any other system.  We can't give you much more than that because there's not much in your question to narrow it down to something more specific.
