Why is the Table of contents Macro not detecting headings?

Hello! 

Using the Table of Contents Macro, attempting to have a flat toc. I've never had trouble in the past, however my toc will not populate my headings. 

All headings are in Heading 2. I've played around with most of the settings however I am not having much luck. The preview always remains blank. Same issues when I try a list or adjust the min/max heading. 

I have a long doc and would love to have this feature available to sort through all of the information.

Hi @Torrie Camp !

Hope you've already solved you problem, but still here is my own experience: once I've had similar problem with ToC macro when my page was still a draft (not published!). Then ToC didn't show anything in its preview, but after publishing everything was back to normal.
