While creating subtask under an issue- the value of the assignee field become unassigned

Hi Team,

 

When we create subtask under the main issue type.

We fill some fields and create the subtask. We also fill the details in assignee field as well.

But when sub task gets created, assigneE field is not having the value which we filled, it became unassigned.

Why this is happened, kindly suggest how to check and resolve it.

questions:

• does this happen on all projects and/or sub-tasks of issuetypes?
• do you have any addons
• has this been a recent regression? If so what has changed?

A couple of thoughts to check:

1. a post function in the sub task workflow that clears the assignee
2. some form of automation that is clearing the assignee after creation
3. some addon that is creating a conflict 
4. last consideration - a bug
