Jira Cloud Migration Assistant - Issue

I'm using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant to migrate projects to the cloud. I create a test project with the test stories in order to test this migration. Everything checks out but then i run the migration I get this error.

2020-04-24 16:21:51.445 ERROR TM project-export We couldn't export Field Layout Scheme default. Reason: java.lang.IllegalStateException: entity.id must not be null.

I tried searching for Field Layout Schemes but I could not find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using any apps from the Atlassian Marketplace that could affect your custom fields or workflows?

Atlassian said we need to upgrade the Server instance for migration to succeed. Others say their instance is on the current release with the same failure. We'll jump through that hoop and report back.

Hello all

I run into the same error today:

2021-11-15 08:50:17.372 ERROR XXX project-export We couldn't export Field Layout Scheme 'Field Configuration Scheme Default'. Reason: java.lang.NullPointerException: entity.id must not be null.

Then I created a new Field Configuration Scheme and I copied the Default Field Configuration.

Assigned the copied Default Field Configuration to the newly created Field Configuration Scheme and associated the Scheme to the desired project.

Hope this helps also other users.
