Vendor Management Database

Question

I've been told that there is a way to build out a database in Confluence to manage vendors. This would allow us to utilize the other features of Confluence and JIRA to manage the vendor sign up process, including collection of documentation and running the risk analysis. Core to this, however, is the base storage/management of all our vendor data.

I'm new to Confluence, and am not seeing a clear tool to effect a database within the program like what we're looking for. Is this possible, and if so, how?? Thank you!!

Well, there is no built-in feature for that, but you could definitely implement this using apps.

There are many form-related apps that allow you capture the vendor data using intelligent forms and store that. (I am not familiar with these, but I'd think that you can also edit the data originally submitted.)

As an alternative, if your vendors can be described by records with a fairly low set of attributes, then you could eventually just insert an online spreadsheet to a Confluence page.
