I only want to see the last 300 events
How can I do that?
ID between 26934 and 26630 for the last 300 operations

I do not believe that you can do that with out-of-the-box Jira, unless you use the API.
If you know the average number of issues created per day/week/etc. you could use something like this to get close:
project = MyProject AND createdDate >= -10d ORDER BY Key
