The error you are running into:

This is a BUG that occurs in the quick create dialog and we are tracking the bug at the following link, please check it out and let me know if you have any additional questions:
The noted workaround is to:
Workaround Instead of using the Board to create the Epic, use the Create Button in the top navigation bar to create the Epic. Following this method will permit you to use the 'Where is my field?' dialog without generating this error.
