Set issuetype and refresh corresponding fields in create screen via js

Question

We used following Javascript to set a default issuetype on the create screen by creating a issue for a project:

AJS.$("#issuetype").trigger("set-selection-value", "10802");

With this all fields for the issuetype where loaded.

Since an update from Jira with several changes to the UI code this isn't working anymore.

Is there any other way to set the default issuetype?

thanks for you answer. That one i have never used until now and i think this option can work for some of our projects.

But we also have projects where the default issuetype is different on each group or role. We use SIL Livefields for this purposes. But there is no possibility to set the issuetype right, so we used the Javascript code above.

In your issue type scheme for your favorite project, you can choose the default issue type in the screen view (when you edit the issue type)
