External User Access to a Single Project

Hi! I realize that there a dozen questions/answers about Jira permissions. I guess I am dense because I"m struggling. Here is the scenario:

1. I have an external/non-employee user who I want give access to a single project, and no other.
2. I want him to be able to browse/view-only (for now).
3. I have created a group and a role for him (jira_ph).
4. I have added him using the role to the project.

This is where I am stuck.

Where do I make the permission changes to his role so when logging in, he only see the one project?

Hi @Jason Sweet 

If you go to your Project's Permission Scheme, you will find a permission called "Browse Projects". 

Give this permission to a specific role (preferred) or your group or individual user. Role is preferred because in that case the Project Admin can add people to that role let us say "External User" and they will be able to manage it by themselves without bothering your Jira Admin.
