confluence doesn't start

I am trying to install confluence 7.1.0 on a Debian 9 server. after several attempts I always get the error message 

Unable to start up Confluence. Fatal error during startup sequence: confluence.lifecycle.core:dblowercheck (Check to ensure the database correctly supports lower() for non-ASCII characters)

As database I use postgresql 9.6. 

With the parameter:

ENCODING = 'UTF8'
LC_COLLATE = 'de_DE.UTF-8'
LC_CTYPE = 'de_DE.UTF-8'
TABLESPACE = pg_default
CONNECTION LIMIT = -1;

 

can someone please help me I can't get any further

Hi @heiko häfele,

I'll try to help you - there may be a problem setting up the JVM for Confluence. A very similar problem was solved at Confluence 6.11. fails to start on Debian 9 with out of memory error
