Performance on Windows 2016 server

Question

My team and I experience intermittent performance issues throughout the day.

Config:

Windows Server 2016

Two CPU

16GB RAM

Disk : 100GB

SQL Server 2017

Two CPU

16GB RAM

Disk : 250GB

What are settings for optimal performance. The instance is relatively new and not alotof data.

Hi,

what Jira version are you using?

Make sure your version is 8.2. or later as SQL Server 2017 is supported starting Jira 8.2 & higher.

Did you run any monitoring tools? Do the perf issues appear at the same time of the day?

Have you update Java Min and Max memory setting for Jira?

You need to set those value in <jira_installation_dir>/bin/setenv.bat file for windows.

Also 2 CPU implies 4 Core or just 2 Core (if it 2 core I suggest you to upgrade to 4 core cpu).
