Is it possible to have a Time only field in Jira ?

Hi Community,

Is it possible to have a time only field in JIRA Service Desk ? I need to add a Time field for new project for one of my teams. They have shift times in 24 format and we need to separate Date and Time. I am surprised, no one ever asked this question before and I don't want an addon just to have one custom field which prompts a picker in 24 format.

@Harp Displaying is possible, though the possibility to evaluate the tim, e.g. with JQL is not possible. Hence the added value is limited.

You can use a text field and use Smart values of Jira Automation - and format the date field of interest with

{{datefield.format("HH:mm")}} - e.g. {{created.format("HH:mm")}} for the Time of Issue creation.

Is there a way to remove the date portion from the date/time field and just display the time on the front end ?
