We have old JIRA 4 system, how to migrate to JIRA 8 without losing anything?
You will need to upgrade from 4.whatever to 4.4 if you are on less than 4.4, then I would recommend going to 5.2, 6.0, 6.4, 7.0, 7.13, then 8.3. You might get away with skipping 6.0, but do NOT skip any of the others, or you will find yourself having to patch things up.

I'm afraid that is of no use. Jira did not have Service Desk in 4, and this is about upgrading a whole Jira to 8, not an older Service Desk.
