Can't auto apply plugin license

Question

I am running the latest version of Server and just moved over to https (not sure if it's related though).  I can install plugins, but I can't auto-apply the license.  The license works if I copy/paste, but I get this message when trying to auto-apply.

An error occurred in an app licensing operation. The license has not been stored. Refer to the logs for more information

Hi I'm also having this problem. 1. my base URL: http://10.0.1.141:8080 2. my instance is not yet converted 3. the $JIRAINSTALL/conf/server.xml file: " maxThreads="150" minSpareThreads="25" connectionTimeout="20000" enableLookups="false" maxHttpHeaderSize="8192" protocol="HTTP/1.1" useBodyEncodingForURI="true" redirectPort="8443" acceptCount="100" disableUploadTimeout="true" bindOnInit="false"/> Can you provide me with a solution? Hi David,

I understand that you are getting an error when trying to automatically apply a license to Jira.  Given what you have mentioned, it very well could be the new https settings that Jira is trying to use.

I would be interested to know more about your configuration here.  Could you let us know your:

* Base url in Jira?
* address of this site? (the URL in your browser when you visit the Jira site. It might be the same as #1, but maybe not)
* Values you might have in the $JIRAINSTALL/conf/server.xml file for each of the <connector> directives?

It's that last part that I think might need to be adjusted after enabling https for Jira.  Depending on if you're using a proxy or a load balancer in front of Jira's Tomcat could change some of these values, but ultimately, I would be looking to see that you have the scheme, defined, and possibly the proxyName/proxyPort values (if using a proxy).  If your server.xml file does not have these, it could be a problem for Jira trying to connect to itself or it's own UPM to get/apply licensing data as expected.
