Thread response, rather than channel response in Slack-Jira integration

Question

I'm using the Jira slack integration in many of my channels. But my team finds the way that @Jirabot responds to be noisy. Is it possible to get @Jirabot to respond in message thread in a channel rather than in the channel directly ?
