It should keep maintain the count in any custom field after the transition.
also suggest plugin name which can work on cloud instance.

You could use such add-ons as Power Scripts, ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira.
If you want to use the Power Scripts app, then you can create a number custom field and then add a post function for the required transition with a code like this:
#{Custom Field Name} = #{Custom Field Name} + 1;

With report Status Count you can get data about how many times an issue has been in each status. And Transition Count shows you how many times an issue went from status to status.
