Different API's provided by JIRA and how to use those thorugh rest client or java codes

Question

I want to communicate with API's provided by JIRA. I want to know list of API's provided by JIRA tool.

Also it will be better if I get some idea how I can I call those API's (steps or procedures) thorough Java programme or rest client.

Thanks..It will be helpful to me.. Also it will be great if you can help me in getting  Jira certificate to communicate with JIRA HTTPS..

I have a tool which can use directly keystore or certificate (in JKS or other format). Can you please help.
