How can I hide the Completed or Done Tasks, Stories appearing on Next Gen Project board

For Next Gen Kanban or Scrum Projects,

when the tasks or user stories are completed / done, I don't want them to appear on the Board,

How can I do this.

All the completed tasks on the board makes the board too congested and also team not focused on other required tasks

Next-gen projects are a simpler option to manage your work, so it does have a limited number of customization and features.

That been said, it is not possible to filter which issues you would like to display in a Next-gen board, however, we have created a suggestion to implement it here:

- Ability to configure board filters for next-gen project

Feel free to vote and watch in the suggestion below to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

For now, this is the expected behavior for each project template:

Scrum:

The done issues will disappear once the Sprint is completed.

Kanban:

If you have Sprints enabled, it should follow the same logic as the Scrum template.

if you don't have Sprints enabled, the done issues will be automatically removed from your next-gen board after 14 days, including from the backlog view.

My project does not have sprints enabled, but there are items in the "Done" category since March (3 months so far).

As a note, we initially had a column to the right of "Done". However, due to some stuff that we read about how it was the "Done" state that mattered, we removed the column that was after "Done" and moved everything that was in that column into "Done". To date, nothing has ever disappeared from our board, and it is becoming impossible to work with.

Is there any way at all to (1) verify that things should be magically disappearing from the "Done" column, and (2) force such a cleanup from the board?

Peter, I can see the manual clear option that Scott shared above. The tickets are gone from the board but I can still see them on the backlog. Is there a way to remove them from the backlog?

Also, you may want to filter out all tickets in `Done` status but resolution not in `Done` and then make a bulk update and set them all to `Done` resolution. After 14 days they will disappear or you may clear them manually from the board as described previously.
