I have configured the standard create and comment issue email handler, and everything works fine, but I need store the mail sender address in a custom field. Is there another way from write a custom handler? Thanks!

The reporter will be assigned to the issue from the mail sender address. If you hover over the reporter, you will see the email.
The sender isn’t a jira user, and I don’t want automatically register it. I would set the value of a custom field.
I see. In this case you would need a plugin like JETI or JEMH
No anotherone alternative? Is there a message handler event to attach before the email message is deleted? Can I obtain the original message in the create issue workflow?
