i took intro, created a profile and dashboard, etc. now i am taking ADMIN and the instructions are to sign on as admin and your password. i get errors

What errors do you get? We are only end users here, so we can only help with the information you give us.
Invalid user/password - i am using a free trial of Jira while learning
Then you are using the wrong credentials.
