How can i update the assignee for the close ticket

Question

Cannot update the assignee for the close ticket. I check the workflow and also no filter but not sure why i cannot update the assignee as i am the admin. Any advice

Any other place like project setting i should be looking  for the above?

Either you do not have the permission "assign issue", or the assignee is not on the edit screen for this issue type.

Check the permission scheme and the workflow for permissions and use "where's my field?" on the edit screen to see why it's not there.

Ok, you should try then to

* create the transition from the status closed back to itself
* create a screen with the assignee field
* bind the screen to the transition
* allow only the chosen people to execute the transition (if you want to)

This should definitely work.

There is NO workflow property "jira.issue.editable=false" in the Closed step of standard workflow, still I a cannot able to modify the assignee.
