Is there a way to enable the parent issue (whether this is a task or an epic) to pick up the start date and due date from the summary of its own children issues ?
Hi @[deleted]
You can do this - but I'm unclear on what you mean by "summary" in the question.
Can I confirm are you picking up the Start Date / Due Date from the child issue's...
If (1) - does summary refer to a specific date within the child issues? EG. earliest Start Date, latest Due Date?
If (2) - how are these dates formatted?

Automation should be able to do this - but given you're on a Free plan, just be aware of the execution limits for Free plans.

Hi, thanks for your answer.
At the moment my parent issue (whether this is an epic or a task) it is not picking up the start date and due date from any child issue (whether the child is a task or sub task).
How do I enable this?
For summary I meant the earliest Start Date, latest Due Date of all the children issues of that parent issue.

Hi @[deleted]
You can likely do this via Automation, but a Free instance could run out of executions pretty quickly.
Are you still on a Free instance?
