How to create new instance for prod? Or how new site to be showed on the side bar?

HI guys,

We are in the process of a test migration, and now I need a new instance or site to try to migrate a project to production.

As I can see on the page I have two instances (or don't know what exactly is shown) what are On and St?
And how do I edit that side bar to display the new site that I need for production.

Do I need to create new Atlassian account with different email, to be able to get new instance for prod?

You will see every instance tied to your login account in the sidebar. the "On" and "St" will relate to two unique url/instances. Inspect your URL an it should align with these shorthand icons. if you click on each you will then see what products are associated with each instance.

My understanding is that "On" and "St" are organizations in which you registered.
Each one has one or many Atlassian product and any product may have one or more sites, with different urls.

This you first included is from the Jira UI.

@Paolo is correct that On and St refer to different Organizations. They are usually the first two letters of that Organization.

The second dropdown you included is from the Atlassian Guard (fka Access) Admin UI (https://admin.atlassian.com):

The Admin interface ONLY displays sites (products) for the selected Organization, so that's probably why you cannot see the sites you're looking for.

You can't edit either of those two dropdowns. If you want to manage other sites, you will need to switch organizations, using this option:

Some questions you might want to consider:

* Why do you have two organizations? If the same group of users need to easily select from two different sites (Jira, JSM, or Confluence instances), they should (probably) be in the same organization.

* Does it make sense to consolidate your sites into one organization? If so, you might want to read this: Can I merge my Atlassian organizations?
