Hosting Jira Server in different Geo location

Rangaraj
August 18, 2020

Hi Team,

We have teams in US, Europe and India access the Jira Server in US. For teams in India, Jira access is very slow and it takes 10 mins to load.

Do Jira provide option to host multiple Jira instance(at different Geo locations) which is connected to same DB.

Please share details for hosting multiple Jira instances and its license model.

Thanks,

Rangaraj.

No, there is no way to do this.  Atlassian is looking at having remote notes in a cluster, but I do not know what the timeline is.

The best you can do at the moment is use Jira Data Centre, with a CDN (content delivery network) enabled.  See https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configure-your-cdn-for-jira-data-center-974378841.html
