Create a story as child of epic may end as creating a different issue type

Hi,

When using Jira data Center (9.17) , when you browse an Epic and choose to create a story as child , using the + sign.

As a result , you create a child. The issue type is not always Story.

I found that it will be as the last issue type I have created.

Is it work as design?

Can I set something to make sure the type would be "story" ?

Hi @Yaron Norani,

Yes, it does indeed work as designed. Jira remembers the last issue type you created and does indeed propose that when you create a new one. And no, there is no configuration option to change that behaviour.
