Hello everyone,
my questions refer to
Portfolio for Jira - 9.12.5
I understand that Epic Link is used to display issues nested in Epics in my plan, Sub-task Link is used to display Sub-tasks nested in their respective parent.
Now i create my own level above the Epic and assign MyIssuetype to it.
This ends up in a list of MyIssuetypes with no issues nested in them and below a list of 'issues without parent' being the epics and their fringes.
Could some wise person point me to the point, where i can define the relation info between the MyIssuetype-Level and the Epic-Level?
Any help here would be highly appreciated!
Additionally - to spare me any further attempts - it looks like there are no means to add a level between Epic and linked-via-Epic-link-issues and the Sub-task level:
e.g. Epic - Story - TheLevelINeed - Sub-task
Thanks again,
Cheerio,
SH
Hello @Sascha Hülß ! Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
There is no way to add levels between Standard Issue Types and Subtask Issue Types. Plans/Advanced Roadmaps/Portfolio for Jira only allows you to add issue hierarchy levels above Epic.
In Advanced Roadmaps, you would define the Epics that MyIssueType contains using a Parent/Child relationship.
Hi @Robert Wen_Cprime_ ,
thanks a lot for the swift response!
I'm afraid it is not clear to me what 'using a Parent/Child relationship' refers to.
Wild guess:
Creating a link 'Parent/Child' - has child - has parent?
Thanks in advance again!
