Share where your Teams work by connecting them to your Jira projects and Confluence spaces

I’m April, a product manager in Atlassian Teams.

We’re excited to announce that starting this week, you’ll be able to connect your Atlassian Teams to Jira projects and Confluence spaces. This feature will allow you to:

• Effortlessly find your team’s work across Jira and Confluence: Find a centralised place for your team’s connected projects and spaces by visiting the team profile.

• Identify other teams responsible for various work: Easily find the associated team within a Jira project or Confluence space and seamlessly navigate to their team profile to learn more.

This feature is part of our long-term vision called System of Work, aimed at enhancing your understanding across teams to strengthen your ways of working across your organization.

What’s changing?

💎Effortlessly find your team’s work across Jira and Confluence

Efficiently navigate between our products by visiting the team profile and connecting the spaces they work in.

• For team members: Easily locate and access your team’s work by connecting your team to a Jira project and Confluence space in your team profile.

• For non-team members: Quickly identify what a team’s role is and where they work.

Currently, you can connect up to eight projects or spaces to a team, and anyone can make these connections.

💎 Efficiently find teams associated to a project or space

In a Jira project or Confluence space, you can easily find the team associated with it by selecting the icon near the top of the page. Navigate to their team profile to learn more.

Currently, you can’t add a team from the project or space yet - this will be coming soon.

What next?

• We will add support for Loom spaces sometime in FY25Q4

• We’re exploring adding support to third-party applications

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect my team from within the Jira project or Confluence space itself?

Currently, you can only connect a Jira Project or Confluence space via the team profile. We will be adding support to be able to connect it directly from Jira Projects or Confluence spaces FY25Q4 onwards.

When will I be able to connect Loom spaces?

This is coming soon, we’re planning to will be explore connections to Loom spaces in FY25Q4.

Why can anyone can connect a Jira project or Confluence space to my team?

To ensure flexibility, anyone can connect a Jira Project or Confluence space to your team. We’d love to improve this feature by hearing your feedback - please share your thoughts below.

I don't see this feature yet. Why?

We're starting a phased rollout 28th March 2025. If you don't see it now, you will be able to see this feature by the end of April when it is rolled out to 100% of customers.
