We have a few radio stations, that some times go off air. How could I set up Jira Service Management to track the outage time? we setup a custom field for the stations, but don't know how to track that down time.
If you Simply wish to do this manually then your downtime roughly equates to resolution date minus create a date. Now you can use automation to automatically calculate this and place it into a custom field that you create. Basically you would trigger the automation on issue transition and then have a condition of the status being done then an action to calculate the downtime into your field.
So, just create a field for it, then make an automation that is triggered by the transition, and when it transitions, it starts the clock for the outage until it gets resolved, and then map the number to the custom field? Is there a way I could retrieve that information in a report?
