What is the JSM Operations Reports?

A set of configurable dashboards that surface the metrics and insights Operations teams rely on every day.

A modern, configurable team-level/all teams summary that has -

  • OOTB template: Provides OOTB template to get you started quickly
  • Customization: Resize, reorder, add/remove rows, and switch templates as you wish
  • Configurable widgets and filters: Add from 25+ prebuilt chart templates or create charts from scratch with filters and different visualization types.
  • AI-powered chart insight: Get AI generated insights to spot patterns and trends in your chart data

What we want your feedback on

  • Metrics and widgets: Which metrics are essential for Operations (e.g., Alert volume / trends, On-call time by team, Alert MTTA/MTTR trends etc.)?
  • Filters & Group By: Which dashboard filters and group by matter the most to you?
  • Views: What types of different views or tabs would be most useful for you and your team on the Jira Service Management Operations Reports page?

Hi @Gargi Banerjee , thanks for posting this. When it's released, will this capability be available in all plans, or just Premium and Enterprise?

Hi @Susan Waldrip - The reports will be available as per the current offering (Notifications for Standard, All reports for Premium and Enterprise). Please let me know if you'd like to have a followup conversation on this.

Thanks @Gargi Banerjee - One big gap for us is the lack of organizational/people data in reports (in general at Atlassian). In other words, you guys are making progress on enterprise-level capabilities within the Teams app, but those capabilities are hardly surfacing throughout the Atlassian Platform. Concrete: Teams app allows to create "Department" or "Division" team types and regular teams can be parented by those teams. 

In my experience, in enterprise-level companies, leaders naturally want to see rollups for their organizations so they can get insight into how well their organization is doing. In your case, for JSM and let's say either Alert Management or Incident Management, a leader might want to know what their Incident Management metrics look like so that they make sure that they're delivering the best service to their customers and protecting the business.

These reports should be able to filter and group by those team types, at a minimum.
