Introducing the tree view
The tree view helps you visualise your idea hierarchies with visually in Jira Product Discovery.
Good news! The tree view is now generally available as part of the Premium plan. Thank you š to the ~200 customers who helped us test and validate it in the early access program.
How to use the tree view
Pre-requisites:
Example use cases:
- Work with opportunity/solution trees
- Show how product work ladders up to strategic objectives
- Get a better view of how things connect at different levels to prioritize
- Get more visual ways to discuss outcome-based roadmaps with stakeholders
Current features:
- Configure n-levels of the hierarchy (max 10)
- You can have multiple types at the same level
- Define filters for all ideas on the view, and for each level of the hierarchy
- Define fields for each level of the hierarchy
- Sort based on a field (it applies to all levels)
- You can re-order ideas manually (unless you have a "sort" configured)
- If an idea at a level is connected to multiple ideas of the prior level:
- By default it will appear multiple times in the view
- You can toggle on a mode where it only shows once (with links to multiple parents). But when you do that you can't sort or reorder cards manually.
