Updates to Forge Pricing: Effective January 2026

Hi community,

Earlier this year, we announced a new pricing model for Forge in our blog post A Preview of Future Forge Pricing. This updated model will go into effect on January 1, 2026. It retains a generous free tier for all apps, while introducing consumption-based pricing for select Forge capabilities, such as compute and storage, once usage exceeds defined thresholds.

We recently shared detailed pricing information and updates regarding the upcoming changes in Updates to Forge Pricing: Effective January 2026. These updates are relevant to all Forge app developers, including Marketplace partners and customers building custom apps.

Preparing your custom apps for the pricing changes

If you currently have a custom-built Forge app, I would point you to the new cost dashboard which can be found by navigating to Usage and costs in the Developer Console. The dashboard shows both month-to-date usage of Forge resources and forecasted costs for the ongoing month.

We have released these features in advance to give you more clarity around what your Forge costs will be once pricing takes effect in 2026.

If you're planning to build a Forge app, you can use our new cost estimator to get an understanding of potential future costs.

Forge Marketplace Apps

All consumption-based pricing for Forge is billed to the developer of the Forge app. For Marketplace apps, this means the Marketplace Vendor is responsible for any charges. Customers are not billed directly for Forge consumption associated with Marketplace apps.

Got questions?

We’re eager to hear your feedback to help us refine and improve things in the months ahead. Feel free to leave a comment or ask any questions below.

Cheers,

Adam
