After first doubts in our company regarding likes of content, this is now heavily used and everybody agrees that this is a very helpful feature, reflecting the content quality and also a good way to give quick feedback.
As likes are currently only shown in the content itself and (optionally) creating notifications for the content author, I was wondering if we can have likes shown somewhere else - in the activities. The "Popular Content" view does not really help here imo, as this is only showing some of the most popular and recent content (until now I did not really get which pages / blogs are listed here).
Is there any possibility to configure a "like"-overview using the existing macros? Or any similar approach?
Jan,
To understand your needs, are you essentially looking for a macro that displays all likes on Confluence? As far as built-in features go, it's just the Popular Content as you've seen.
I'm going to tag the Marketplace collection on this question in case anyone knows of any add-ons that could help with that, but I did find this one:
There aren't many details on it, but it is free and works with Confluence Server, so I would recommend trying it to see if it does what you need.

Shannon
Shannon,
thanks for your quick reply.
Basically I am looking for a function which is something between shares and likes: When people think that content is interesting or important, they should be able to recommend this, so that either all users - or users following that person can notice this recommendation.
As this "recommending" as I have seen it in other tools is not available I thought about likes being displayed a bit more perceptible. Displaying all likes as activities on the dashboard or using the recent activity macro - and in the network (following users) view.
The popular content view does not really help here as we are on a server with 10,000 users and too many pages and blogs.
I hope this cleared it up a little ?

Hi Jan,
I understand now. Unfortunately, the only feature to recommend pages in Confluence is the Share Option.
There might be an add-on that does this, but I'm not aware of one that does. Hopefully, since I've tagged the Marketplace collection, someone might be able to recommend another add-on that does this.
Regards,
Shannon
