Could not login to bitbucket with atlassian user name and password.

We couldn’t log you in, when trying to get to bitbucket after logging into atlassian account. 

Its repeatedly asking for sign in, which is not getting through.

Welcome to the community!

The issue happens if you have an add-on that tampers with Atlassian login.

To identify the add-on, I suggest disabling all add-ons installed in your Web browser and restoring the browser default settings, then try again.

If that works, try enabling your add-ons again one by one to see which add-ons is causing the issue.
