How to delete project in JIRA

When I logged in to JIRA for the first time JIRA created a sample project with some records. I would like to delete that entire sample project from my dashboard. I couldn't find a delete button even though I am the owner of this project.

In the sidebar of the project > Project Settings > Delete Project

Depending on your permissions the Site Admin may need to delete the project for you.
