How do I link a task (not a sub-task) to a parent task?

I need to create a parent task, and then I will have to clone it many times and have it in the backlog but under different epics (all the cloned tasks have to be linked to the original parent task, that has to appear still in the backlog, under another epic)

You can use issue links (cloning issues will do that automatically, linking the new issue back to its source), but these will not be parent/child relationships like you get from sub-tasks.
