Can a project and board be renamed?

When the project and the board were first created, they added a version number for the product. I want to remove this version number from the project name and from the board so that it doesn't cause confusion as we add Sprints for other versions.

try the following:

Project: project settings > details change the name at the top

Board: ellipses > board settings > general change the name

I should have asked... will this have negative consequences? It wouldn't mess up anything?

nope should be fine. I have done this only a couple of times but don't recall any issues resulting.
