Text editor feature missing

I have recently started using Trello to manage my various lists and was excited to see when I did a google search that there is supposed to be a text editor however I don’t seem to be able to activate this feature, can you tell me why? I am using the Trello app on iPad.  

As a side note I noticed that the editor does not support underline, which would be a great feature also text colour would be great.  I have migrated some lists from UpNote to Trello and one thing that I am missing is the ability to colour the text.  I usually colour an item one colour once initiated and another once complete, which would be a great feature for Trello.

Unfortunately, the new Trello editor is not available for the mobile app at the moment.

While these functionalities aren't currently available in Trello, you aren’t alone in wanting them as we have had other users interested in this as well. With that in mind, I’ve added you as a “+1” to our existing suggestion, which you can access here:

I would also recommend you to visit that suggestion, log in with your Atlassian account, and click Start watching this issue on the right panel. This will help our product and engineering team understand more about which functionalities our users are interested in. Also, when the ticket is updated by our product team, you'll be notified via email.
